This definitely was a day I will remember for the rest of my life. It is days like these that help me look beyond the difficulties of life and just cherish all that is good. The day started off simply - with a visit to my chiropractor and also included a trip to Starbucks and most importantly - PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!! ---- which was absolutely frickin' fantastic!!! --- The day spent with great friends was one of making great memories. There was laughter and there was tears (but only because we were laughing so much). I may not get to see these friends as often as I would like, but we definitely always have a great time when we are together.
Anyways, it's been an incredibly long day and I am incredibly tired, so I am going to head to bed. I just wanted to leave you with the chorus from a Jodee Messina song called These are the Days.
These are the days you will remember for the rest of your life
These are the memories you’ll pack in a box and pull ‘em out sometimes
So pick your flowers, count the seconds, roll the dice
But baby, don’t wait ‘till its too late
Put a smile on your face
These are the days
Remember, life's a journey and is meant to be a roller coaster ride. It may not always be easy or it may sometimes be fantastic. Either way -- try to put a smile on your face. As a close friend once said --- life is what you make it. You can either focus on the bad things and let it get you down, or you can get up off the couch and enjoy everything life has to offer.
So --- I am going to try to really focus on the positives in my life. I've got a good job, great friends, good health ..... and even the difficult things life will soon bring will hopefully be a good thing in the end.
OK...goodnight.

Old man winter is back.....
GOOOOOOOOOOOOO RIDERS!
Haha....obviously I am very aware it isn't football season, but I am just dreaming of much warmer times. (Well, except for the insane lightening storm that delayed the game 55 minutes).
Good times. I am looking forward to this summer once again. If it is as good as this past summer, it will have definitely been worth the wait. And even the huge blizzard that brought more snow than we've had all winter long...nope, I am not at all bitter.
I'd post a picture of the nasty weather, but quite frankly, I don't want to focus on the negative. I'd rather focus on what's good. Realistically, life is only as bad as we choose to make it. Yep, we just got crap loads of snow, but I get to see Phantom of the Opera this weekend (and it's not supposed to snow!) I also bought a very yummy watermelon yesterday and don't have the scanner because my car is stuck!! Bwa ha ha ha ha.
Perhaps I have just drank way too much iced tea today.
But right now I am thinking about camping. It may have rained buckets, but it was still a lot of fun. Haha (just pictured Ian pouring a drink down the front of his rain poncho.) good times. Me and my $17 tent...ah, good times.
Bring on the summer!
And thus...the end of another pointless post.
By the way, this is Karen's brother...not old man winter. haha

Saturday
Well...people...it's another day. This month is almost half over and I have been at the Booster for almost one year. Kinda weird. One year ago today I was in Provost, sitting in a hot tub, drinking all day long. And I was so dreadfully tired...and scared. O, how times have changed.
Right now I am sitting on the couch, watching Nashville Star (because there really isn't anything on), and waiting for Kim to show up so that we can go for lunch. Its a pretty laid back day. Just have to write a story later --- I met the Saskatchewan minister of education today....wahooo --- yep, that is the exciting stuff in my life.
Right now I think I will just focus on the really boring stuff, cuz it's much better than the not so much fun stuff.

Simple problems....easy solutions
I have to say....I am at a loss of words tonight. I do not know what I want to write, because I do not know what I want to say. Quite frankly, I don't know how I am feeling at the moment, but I do know one thing --- I would like a simple problem with an easy solution ... or any solution for that matter. Right now, this could mean almost anything, because most problems have some sort of solution or remedy. So I've decided, I am thinking of running away. Will you join me?
.......because I am to the point where I may have to say or do things I don't want to, and they would change things forever.

Spongebob Squarepants
Well, people, I have not been at the Booster just days short of one year. Only one year ago, Jackie and I were exploring the Lower Mainland and if I recall correctly, it was the Tuesday we should have just stayed in Abbotsford (haha, ah memories). Regardless, it was a complete blast to have our own little mini scene in our own little movie when we dashed into the taxi and asked if he could make it from North Vancouver to Vancouver (to the Greyhound Station in record time. If he hadn't been able to make it, we would have been forced to spend the night in Vancouver because that was the last bus out of town....haha. Good times. Wednesday was Vancouver Island and a day of whale watching (without the whales). Wow, I guess this means its also been one year since I called Vancouver home. I really need to go back and visit the mountains and the ocean .... and the people too I guess.
Not much else is new. I am finding myself slightly irritated today, but I am not entirely sure why. Still trying to decide how I should handle a certain situation, but haven't come up with any plans. Which is fine....because I have the rest of the summer.
Anyways, I will end this completely pointless post and hopefully get to go home pretty soon.

Berenstein Bears
I am liking April a lot better than that stupid month of March. So far nothing has happened and that makes me incredibly happy. Who knew that boredom could be such a blessing?
I do have a headache and my body hurts, but I can deal with that. It isn't a constant excruciating pain I can't get rid of and I don't need to take medication every three hours to try to dull the pain.
It looks to be a busy month...this weekend I will be heading up to Nipawin (unless it snows -- Murphy likes it to snow on Fridays), next weekend is still free, the weekend after I have a massage in Provost (it'd better not snow), and then the weekend after that is Phantom!! Wahoo! But I've applied for a second job -- so cross your fingers, toes and pray that it all works out and Starbucks hires me!! (How sweet would that be for a second job?)
Well, not much else is new. I think I've only got two people that actually read this blog, so hello Heidi and Jackie!

Don't even ask....
You know...most days I don't ask for much...but when I do I just seem to get shit on and its making me really angry. Why, when people are crusty do they insist on taking it out on other people? Can you answer me that?
Again, I don't know whether to scream or just cry. Will nothing ever go my way? Or will I just get shit on for the rest of my life? It certainly appears that way.
Whatever, perhaps I should just let the whole world kiss my ass and just walk away....or run...or drive.
